Denys Matsuyev

Denys Matsuyev boasts over two decades of experience in the Eastern Europe equity capital market and investment banking. With 17 years of unwavering dedication, he played an instrumental role in transforming Dragon Capital from a small investment boutique into the largest investment bank in Ukraine with USD 0.4 billion of private equity and real estate AUM. 

Denys has been a key player at Dragon Capital since 2006, where he has been responsible for trading operations, managing the company's equity portfolio and private equity placements. His exceptional sell-side skills and expertise have helped clients raise equity capital of USD 2 billion, via 50 IPOs and private placements, including on the London and Warsaw Stock Exchanges. These deals span across various sectors, including Banking, Agricultural, Pharmaceutical, Real Estate Development, and Aerospace. 

Denys started his career as an Investment Banking Associate at Raiffeisen Bank International in 2002. During his time there, he gained valuable experience participating in due diligence of acquisition targets, preparing market, operational, and ESG analysis, and creating and maintaining DCF and LBO financial models. He also played a significant role in executing transborder small and mid-size MCAP equity and debt transactions, collaborating with Austrian and Polish teams in the Oil and Gas, Construction materials, and Chemical sectors. 

Denys holds an MA in Economics & Finance from Binghamton University, where he was awarded the prestigious Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Scholarship for his exceptional academic achievements.
